Terms of Service

Effective January 2026. By enrolling or purchasing from Skywood Clay Atelier you agree to these terms.

1. Enrollment & Access

  1. Enrollment is confirmed only after full payment and receipt of a signed digital agreement.
  2. Access to online journal modules and studio sessions is personal and non-transferable.
  3. You must be 18 years or older (or have parental consent) to participate in any firing or wheel-throwing classes.

2. Payments & Cancellations

  1. All workshop fees are listed in USD. A 30% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your place.
  2. Full refunds are available only if cancellation occurs 14 days before the scheduled start date.
  3. Store credit valid for 12 months is issued for later cancellations at the studio’s discretion.

3. Studio Conduct

  1. Participants must wear closed-toe shoes and follow all kiln safety protocols during firing sessions.
  2. Respect for shared studio tools and clean-up of individual workspaces is required at every visit.
  3. Any behavior that endangers others or damages equipment may result in immediate dismissal without refund.

4. Intellectual Property

  1. All course materials, templates, and firing schedules remain the exclusive property of Skywood Clay Atelier.
  2. You retain ownership of your finished ceramic pieces; we reserve the right to photograph work for portfolio use.
  3. Reproduction or resale of our exact lesson plans or glaze recipes is strictly prohibited.

5. Liability & Disclaimers

  1. Clay work involves inherent risks including burns and dust exposure; attendees waive claims related to normal studio activities.
  2. We are not responsible for pieces lost or damaged during kiln firing due to unforeseen material interactions.
  3. Our liability is limited to the amount paid for services rendered in the preceding 12 months.
